Go West! – East Pop West – opening tonight!
We are super psyched about the launch of East Pop West a new three day art festival bringing the best of the East London to the West. The exhibition is taking place at the 20,000 sq ft former Innocent Smoothies Headquarters in Goldhawk industrial estate near Hammersmith (map here) – sounds like an adventure to us!
September To Do List – Part One
It’s a To Do List of two halves this month, because THERE’S SO F*CKING MUCH TO DO! We’re loving September already and it’s only just begun!

Loserville (is) Late… Do Not Abandon Me | Hauser & Wirth, Old Bond Street
Occasionally we’re late to tell you about things…
Get over it. There are still three more days to catch the result of Louise Bourgeois & Tracey Emin’s collaboration Do Not Abandon Me at Hauser & Wirth.
So there. No excuses.
Gail Pickering: Sixty Six Signs of Neon | Southbank Centre

This sounds like a good conversation starter – go with (appreciative) friends, and then discuss what it all means over a bottle or three of wine on the South Bank.
Romany gypsies in Appleby, Cumbria beautifully photographed by Greta Ilieva
We met some amazing people who were raising money (through lovely Oreo cupcakes) for Greta Ilieva’s exhibition (which is on until 5th December 10 at 37 Camden High Street) at our House Clearance jumble sale in Shoreditch and loved the postcard we were given (left)!
South London Special – LV’s guide to Deptford X, Shopping & Drinking
Fuck Shoreditch! Skanky saarf (south) east London is where it’s at for emerging nonwank art, super bargain shopping and lovely drinkies…This weekend is perfect to visit Deptford, as it’s the opening weekend of Deptford X, Going for a Song – Vintage Jumble & Open Mic and the last day of the beautiful exhibition at a new concept gallery & performance space run by former prisoners called Art Saves Lives.
Loserville would love to go to the Dark Carnival…
Tonight and tomorrow night, the Old Vic Tunnels play host to Dark Carnival, which looks like as fun and entertaining a way as any to kick-start your weekend. Doors open at 6pm both evenings, and on Saturday night the whole space will be transformed into a performance venue for a one-night-only experience from 8:30pm: Red Light Night!
Going to something you’ve never heard of…
It’s definitely a risk, but is it worth taking? There are so many festivals, so many fringe festivals, so much ‘WORK’, and so many fliers. And to what degree do you leave it to chance and good luck.
