Merry Christmas and a boozy New Year love from Loserville!
Just wanted to say a big thank you very much and a Jazzy Christmas to all our readers, supporters, writers, lovers and friends! My name is Rupert and I created the site over a year ago now and am so happy with how it’s going and will be announcing our plans for ’2011: A Loserville Odyssey’ shortly…
Enjoy your Christmas dinner, courtesy of Fura dels Baus…
Readers of Loserville! Just to let you know about the amazing super-great unmissable Titus Andronicus by Catalan theatre company La Fura dels Baus. Known for theatrics antics separating audience and theatre, their spectacle in the Canal theatre in Madrid proved no exception. Vrooming round the basketball-court-sized room on mini quad-bikes, the actors of the Degustación bashed audience members out the way in order to continue playing the virtual shoot-’em-up game visualized on all four walls of the auditorium.
Free Films Online. Legal.
Loserville is a bit late to the party on this one, but we just discovered indiemoviesonline.com, a website where you can watch a really good selection of independent films FOR FREE! Loserville recommends Alexis Dos Santos’ Unmade Beds.

Extravaganza Alert
If you want to gorge yourself on a cultural mash-up that will leave you on a strict New Year audio-visual diet cutting out all irony and kitsch, get yourself to this happening at the Brighton Centre on December 16th or 17th. The word ‘extravaganza’ was invented to describe it. Yes, it’s Jeff Wayne’s Musical Version [...]
Louis loves One Direction. Proof. From his own hand. Kinda.
Check out the vid squid. We can’t take credit for it, but still, there it is.
Loserville Loves…Chilango
So we were on Upper Street on our way to catch “Decline & Fall” at the Old Red Lion Theatre (review to come soon) and we needed nibbles, so we popped into ‘Chilango’, our new favourite fast-but-fab food joint.
Meet John Waters! But you’ll have to run…
Get your skates on or jump on your husky sled and race to Waterstones Piccadilly this afternoon, where John Waters will be signing copies of his book “Role Models” from 1pm. The book is about the people who inspire him, including a lesbian stripper, Tennessee Williams and St. Catherine of Siena. Perfect Christmas present for [...]
It’s Christmas, so… take me to your nearest dark tunnels!
We featured an event at the Old Vic Tunnels earlier in the year, and we’ve been looking for an excuse to feature them again ever since.
“Cart Macabre” runs from Decmber 4th to December 22nd.
Be there.
Thanks Mum for introducing me to Jib Jab – Kooky videos with your face on it!
Ok so normally we here at Loserville are a bit miserly about viral video sensations and don’t give em much credit. However when my mother introduced me to the wonders of Elf Yourself an online video maker from JibJab.
Most Excellent Snow Day For Loserville
We think watching Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure is, like, totally the most awesome way to spend a snow day.
Hot ticket alert! Frankenstein directed by Danny Boyle at the National Theatre
Tickets went on sale to the general public today and will sell like hot cakes. We don’t want you losers to miss out on this amazing show, so book now! It’s starring our favourite loser hottie Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock) we wrote about him here and directed by Slumdog Millionaire’s Danny Boyle in his return to theatre. So excited!
Spanish Blunderboard! Tricky Traps and how to avoid them.
Languages have always been a source of much mirth and humour amongst human beings. Wordplay and blunders in particular tickle our funny bone in that way that nothing else quite can. Ever since mum told me to mind her French after ramming into the back of someone else’s car or when my older brother Rupert [...]
